BACKGROUND

Amr Hossam Eldin heads the Arbitration at the firm. He possesses significant expertise in complex and high-value institutional and ad hoc arbitrations and litigations within the MENA jurisdictions. These areas include construction, commercial transactions, technology, aviation, public property and administrative law matters, public procurement, corporate law, intellectual property rights, and sales of goods.

Amr serves as an arbitrator, legal expert, and lead counsel in proceedings brought before the ICC, UNCITRAL, QICCA, and FIDIC Dispute Adjudication Boards (DABs) on behalf of both private clients and state entities.

Amr provides legal representation for various stakeholders in a diverse array of significant disputes. These include claims related to delays and impacts, disputes over change orders, allegations of changed-site conditions, force majeure events, insurance and bonding claims, claims related to inspection and supervision, issues with defective quality, contract account collection, matters involving public property and administrative law, corporate insolvency, and disputes regarding contractual interpretation.

Representing an international architect company in an ICC arbitration seated in Doha regarding a mega crossing project employed by a Qatari state-owned entity.

Representing a Netherland manufacturer in an ICC arbitration seated in Doha against a major JV contractor in New Orbital Highway & Truck Route.

Representing a major contractor before FIDIC DAB against a subcontractor regarding the disputed works of design, engineering, fabrication, supply and installation of precast concrete elements in Qatar amounting to QAR 350 million.

Representing a major contractor before FIDIC DAB against a subcontractor regarding the disputed works of design, engineering, fabrication, supply and installation in Qatar amounting to QAR 700 million.

Representing a major subcontractor in an ICC arbitration seated in Doha under a subcontract of supply and installation of substructure waterproofing works at a major shopping mall project in Doha.

Representing a major JV contractor in an ad hoc arbitration seated in Doha regarding the disputed works of supply, installation, completion, delivery, and maintenance of the waterproof works under the Central Doha and Corniche Beautification Project.
